MARGARET THATCHER started it all from way back in the 80's.

This is the woman, who along with her then cabinet, and supporters around the country, even now, today, who is responsible for everything going on in Britain today, now, this minute, this second.
Her conditioning of many British people even now, is the reason for high unemployment set to get worse, cuts in housing benefit, cuts in disability benefit, cuts in unemployment benefit, cuts to the pensioners winter fuel payment, this is paid because the State pension is so low, thanks to Thatcher breaking the pensions and earnings link in the 80's, devaluing the State pension at the stroke of a pen.
And why ?. Because Margaret Thatcher's right wing Tory's hate the Welfare State, they hate the NHS, and they hate people on welfare. Which is why so many millions of pensioners are suffering today, the hardship they are. And have been for over 30 years.
Nine elderly people died every hour from cold-related illnesses last winter against a background of soaring energy bills.
Official figures show the number of deaths linked to cold over the four-month period reached 25,400 in England and Wales, plus 2,760 in Scotland.
Charities and energy company critics claim the UK has the highest winter death rate in northern Europe, even worse than much colder countries such as Finland and Sweden.

nine elderly people died every hour from cold related illnesses last winter is an absolute disgrace , the moral compass of the many needs tweaking and re tuning , more people need to be made aware of the disgraceful shabby treatment pensioners of the UK are facing in a daily battle just to live .
Pensioners with nothing to look forward to besides the constant threat of dying of cold or lack of food is mind blowing , considering we are in the year 2013 , what quality of life is that , they merely exist , nothing more !
The coalition have the deaths of many pensioners through ill health brought on by the draconian cuts on their hands , implemented at the behest of these conservative stereotypes , who genuinely don't understand everyday life and the cost of it . They function in the Westminster bubble , eating subsidised tax payer food and drink at a reduced rate , non MPs eating as guests are charged more for the same food and drink .
We live in a two tier system and the little people pick up the tab every time via tax , something has to give !

Bang on REDNEOL.
This is just one of the reasons im standing as an Independed Bring Bring Back Old Labour candidate, they had their faults, like the hard left, but things were fundamentally fairer under old Labour, I grew up under old Labour and small "c" left of centre Conservative Government's, and things were better then in many ways, we had a system, and Government's tried to cope with it, under Thatcher and todate, we have a dogma, and ideology, and its rotten to the core.[/b]
